Annette Galbraith Hamm BSc(R) MA (ABS)

Annette grew up in a family of business owners, entrepreneurs, inventors, manufacturers, builders, bookkeepers, and salespeople.

This environment provided her with a window into the world of business. She absorbed a lot of what was involved – the long hours, the paperwork, advertising, balancing expenses against revenue, the commitment and dedication to the business, and to the people who worked for them. She learned that persistence was required, and that sometimes the payoff was a long way from the beginning.

At university, she found herself drawn to the healthcare field. Over the next 35 plus years, she developed a broad spectrum of experience: intensive care to home care, pediatrics to geriatrics, and finally management.

She worked both sides of the management/labor divide, gaining experience in negotiation and mediation, redesigning roles and responsibilities, program development, metrics utilization, and quality assurance.

Twenty plus years into her career, she began her own business while working full time.  She also held board positions on two separate non profit organizations in her community.  For one of the organizations, Annette collaborated with the American Red Cross training volunteers with sheltering.  After returning to university to do a Masters in Organization Psychology (Applied Behavioural Science)  and training with an International Coaching company in Executive Coaching, she opened her coaching business.   Her memories of her family’s business ventures and adventures became her reality.

Today, as a coach to executive/owners of small and mid-sized businesses and organizations, Annette brings extensive experience to her work combined with considerable education and training in Organizational Development, Leadership development, labor management, decision-making, Systems Theory, Action Research, and the study of human behavior in groups.
